I have always had an affinity with Linux. As Linus Torvalds said: “Fairly cheap home computing was what changed my life.” The cost of computing hardware and software has always been a barrier to entry for me and that taught me to love Linux’s founding principles. Those principles have distilled into me allowing me feel freedom even when all around me I feel under pressure.

Upcycled old office PCs turned into tiny servers, and over-ambitious networking ideas all come together here. This section is for homelab fanatics that use other peoples trash to experiment, break things, rebuild, and occasionally create something genuinely useful. After all, the creativity that created the internet we know didn’t start in data centres — it began in bedrooms, garages or even in the under stairs cupboard.

Here I aim to document the hardware and software that powers my digital life, so I split the articles into sections so you can peruse at your pleasure!
